Dear Friend:
Sean Payton, Head Coach of the World Champion New Orleans Saints, and his wife Beth, are bringing back the Black and Gold Gala that many of you have requested. This event will raise funds for Payton’s Play It Forward Foundation created in 2008. Our mission is to raise funds and awareness for organizations working with families and children in the areas of health, education, and social welfare.
Payton’s Play It Forward Foundation will hold its second Black and Gold Tie Gala fundraiser in the Superdome on October 1, 2010. The event will include an all-star line-up ranging from Coach Payton, prominent members and players of the Saints’ organization, as well as some great entertainers, including the sensational band Better Than Ezra and our special Honorary Chair for the evening Country Music Artist and a native of Louisiana, Sammy Kershaw. Funds raised this year will be distributed to Feed the Children who will provide semi trucks full of food to many organizations in the Gulf Coast region and the Dr. Phil Foundation, helping families and children in need along the Gulf Coast. A special donation will be made to the Protect Our Coastline.Org in honor of Sammy for his dedication to helping others. Some proceeds will be awarded to smaller organizations in the area. The Gala will include both silent and live auctions, seated dinner and entertainment. There will be a limited number of sponsorships and individual tickets available for this event. Information on these is included with this packet.
We need your help in making this event another success. Your donations of sponsorships, ticket purchases, or auction items will go a long way in raising funds to help those in need. Please fill out the forms included and return to Karen Hegner, Executive Director, Payton’s Play It Forward Foundation at P. O. Box 702745, Dallas, Texas 75370
This is an event you will not want to miss. On behalf of Coach Payton and his wife Beth, we thank you for your consideration and for helping us Play It Forward. We all look forward to seeing you in the Superdome on October 1st.
Sincerely,
Karen Hegner
Payton’s Play It Forward Executive Director
